Ecogenica Heat Pump Hot Water products meet the strongest product quality assurances and audit compliance standards in Australia. There is a comprehensive certification framework in place at the manufacture, sale and installation of Ecogenica Hot Water Heat Pumps.
All Ecogenica, Electric Heat Pumps are fully independently tested to ensure compliance to the applicable electrical safety standards AS/NZS60335.1 and AS/NS60335.2 40 and are marked with the RCM “Regulatory Compliance Mark” to confirm compliance before sale.
All Ecogenica products including Heat Pump Hot Water heaters must be installed by a Licensed Electrician to the required building code AS/NZS3000 wiring rules to ensure safety. AS/NZS is Australian and New Zealand standard.
In light of recent negative media towards the heat pump sector and industry, Ecogenica has been investigating opportunities of what and how manufacturing heat pumps could look like in Victoria or other states or territories in Australia. We are currently in the process of preparing an internal strategy to confirm the viability of heat pump manufacturing in Australia.
Performance Energy Efficiency
All Ecogenica Heat Pumps comply with the Energy efficiency performance that is evaluated to AS/NZS4234 and AS/NZS5125 for requirement to the Minimum Energy Performance Standards as required by the Government Regulator.
Plumbing
A qualified Plumber must ensure compliance to AS3498, for the safety and public health requirements for plumbing products – Water heaters and hot-water storage tanks
All products are approved under the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program and depending on their activities, under IPART-administered Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) in New South Wales, Clean Energy Regulator (CER) and Solar Victoria schemes.
All Heat Pump Hot Water products come with the required warranty that the products have been complied for. All valid warranties are attended to by highly trained and qualified technicians. All units installed by Ecogenica are undertaken by highly trained and qualified technicians. However, where a unit or product has been purchased and installed by a third party, Ecogenica will not be responsible for any installation faults caused by the third-party installer.
Ecogenica takes customer feedback seriously. This feedback is used to not only respond to customer concerns, but also used to improve product design, manufacture and installation.
For each heat pump hot water model there is a user manual which specifies and outlines in detail how the product is to be installed by a licensed electrician and plumber with a certificate of compliance being issued by the licensed installers. There are also details on how the model should be maintained.

All Ecogenica’s Hot Water heat pumps must meet certification at two levels to be sold and installed in Australia. The first level is at the manufacture stage. The second is at the installation stage. It is this dual level of certification that ensure Ecogenica’s Hot Water heat pumps meet all industry and government certification requirements. This level of certification also ensure that Ecogenica maintains the highest level of industry standards and practices for heat pump manufacture, sale and installation.
